About Us

Our Name...

Devil's Backbone is a spine of Dakota sandstone that stretches for 2 miles, rising an impressive 220 feet above the valleys below. When you pass it heading west on Highway 34 in Loveland, CO, you've just entered the gateway to the Rocky Mountains; some of the most scenic, exhilarating, and challenging riding terrain in the world.

Just past the Backbone, you can get your bike tuned at The Fort Motorcycle Company, or stop at Sandy's to gas up. From there, head south to Windjammer next to Carter Lake, or shoot the curves north to Masonville. Turn left to wind up to Mishawaka or right for a stop at Horsetooth Tavern. Continue on for a rip along Horsetooth Reservoir and take a dip before heading out to Vern's Place. Ride back to town to visit dealerships such as Thunder Mountain Harley, Indian, Triumph, Tri-City Cycle, and Aces.

If you really want a thrill, continue up 34 to Estes Park and stop at Full Throttle Saloon. From there, you can traverse the Continental Divide on the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway, a 55 mile route to Blackhawk. Or, head up the iconic Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, a serpentine line that hits 12,183 feet where you can literally ride through the clouds.

To the risk takers, thrill seekers, and fear conquerors willing to cross the Devil's gate, ride with us. We're Devil's Backbone Supply.

Our Apparel...

Western riders have to be adaptable, and as a result, so does our gear. You'll be riding I-25 flat and straight, just minutes before winding with the river through Glen Haven and hitting 180 degree switchbacks on Devil's Gulch Road. Or, maybe you are dual sporting Old Fall River Road, traversing gravel passes surrounded by snow capped peaks...all the while, experiencing 15 degree temperature swings or unexpected mountain weather. You might hang with your crew for a drink around the fire pit before another 15 or 20 degree dip on your night ride home.

Our vision is to develop distinctive motorcycle apparel that stands out from the crowd, with the toughness to navigate a volatile terrain, the versatility to handle the temps, yet chill enough for when your ride ends and the stories begin. Because out here, that's how we roll.

To start, we are offering a ring spun cotton mid-weight hoodie for spring and summer riding, as well as structured, mesh back riding hats. We will introduce mid and heavyweight T's in the summer and move to heavyweight sweatshirts with thicker, 3-end fleece which adds both durability and comfort for the colder months. As we grow, we will expand into protective wear including jackets, sweatshirts, gloves, and pants. We are currently developing a Kevlar lined, Fall riding jacket with removable CE level 2 armor, and room to layer our mid and heavyweight sweats through changing temps.

Lastly, we want to build community, friendships, and support with the variety of riders here, and maybe even across the country. As such, we want our apparel and its direction to be threaded and charted by you, the riders. If you have an idea for a function or design, a colorway, or even a critique, we want to hear from you.

Shoot us a dm or email us at info@devilsbackbone.supply. We're listening.
